Insurance Transfer and Rebrand

We are pleased to advise that the transfer of Swiss Re Life & Health Australia Limited (Swiss Re) direct life insurance business to Hannover Life Re of Australasia Ltd (Hannover) under Part 9 of the Life Insurance Act 1995 (Cth) was completed at 12:01am on 1 December 2025.

This includes Woolworths Life and Funeral policies.

At the same time Woolworths Life and Funeral Insurance products were rebranded to Safeway Life and Safeway Funeral Insurance. If you have any questions about your life insurance policy, please contact us.

Please note that from 1 July 2023, Safeway Life and Funeral Insurance are no longer available for purchase.
